About:
Mr. White is a member of the Florida and Illinois Bar Associations. He graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois with a degree in economics. He obtained his law degree from the Florida State College of Law in Tallahassee, Florida, and has also taken legal history courses at Oxford University in Oxford, England.
In addition to practicing as a securities lawyer, Mr. White has also worked on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the Live Cattle Options Pit, and in the Boca Raton, Florida dispute resolution office of the NASD (n/k/a FINRA). His financial and legal background is essential in evaluating potential securities fraud claims.
Most of Mr. White’s clients are individuals who have been defrauded by their investment professional. Mr. White has handled over 250 FINRA arbitration cases, including handling claims against most of the FINRA registered broker-dealers.
Mr. White also has experience representing some of the largest broker-dealers in the world (including Banc of America Investments Services, Inc. (n/k/a Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Incorporated), Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Wachovia Securities, LLC, Wells Fargo Investments, and Ameriprise Financial). This experience gives Mr. White a unique perspective in evaluating potential securities fraud claims and in understanding how brokerage firms typically defend securities fraud cases.

Mr. Kuvin is special securities trial and appellate counsel to the Soreide Law Group. Mr. Kuvin’s practice focuses primarily on litigation at the circuit and appellate levels. As a third year law school student Mr. Kuvin successfully argued a case in front of a three judge panel at the Third District Court of Appeal in Miami. The court published a 48 page opinion which quickly established Mr. Kuvin’s superior appellate skills. Mr. Kuvin was a member of the United States Coast Guard from 1982 through 1987. Mr. Kuvin is an avid sailor and even acted as a Special Olympics Sailing Coach.

Leif Soreide uses his background in finance and forensic accounting to assist the Soreide Law Group in case evaluations and profit and loss evaluations. This is a very important first step in the securities litigation process which may determine if there is an actionable claim or merely a market loss. Leif Soreide uses his extensive trading experience and knowledge of foreign and domestic financial markets to assist in making that determination. Leif is also the business manager of the Soreide Law Group.
