Brian Rieman Allegedly Sells Unsuitable Investments

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) BrokerCheck Report for Hennion & Walsh, Inc. securities broker Brian Rieman (CRD#: 4427713, Parsippany, New Jersey) shows disconcerting information about his sales practices. Namely, at least 5 clients of Rieman disputed his sales practices by bringing FINRA arbitration claims or complaints. Those disputes, summarized below, suggest that Rieman may have recommended unsuitable or misrepresented investments.

Hennion & Walsh Clients Bring Disputes Indicating Brian Rieman Sold Unsuitable Bonds

Evidently, on July 24, 2018, a client of Hennion & Walsh disputed Brian Rieman’s sales practices by bringing FINRA Arbitration #:  18-02623. Mainly, the client contended that Rieman made unsuitable investment recommendations especially concerning municipal debt products. It appears that the client invested in the municipal debt investments because of Rieman and then experienced losses. For this reason, the client seeks compensatory relief of $52,530 in this ongoing matter.

FINRA shows that three other Hennion Walsh clients brought disputes from February 2018 to July 2018. Principally, clients contended that Rieman made bad investment recommendations. At least one of those clients alleged $230,000 in damages. Apparently, those clients’ disputes all await resolutions.

Rieman Allegedly Misrepresents Investments To Hennion & Walsh Client

Brian Rieman disclosed that a Hennion & Walsh client contested his sales practices on November 9, 2016. The client contended that  Rieman misrepresented information about corporate debt investments. Supposedly, the inaccurate or misleading representations led the client to invest in bad corporate debt investments. Allegedly, those investments fared poorly. For this reason, Hennion & Walsh opted to compensate the client in the amount of $44,055.49 to settle the matter.
