Supposedly, Fuentes purchased or sold direct investments (DPP & LP interests) and OTC equities without the client’s consent. Secondly, Fuentes allegedly made bad recommendations about those direct investments and OTC equities. Thirdly, Fuentes falsified information about the investments he sold to the client. Finally, the client alleged that Dawson James failed to supervise Fuentes. For this reason, the client demanded $1,377,280.02 in this ongoing matter.
Client Prevails In Arbitration Claim About Fuentes Which Suggests Fuentes Misrepresented Investments
Evidently, a client of Dawson James named Danilo Fuentes in FINRA Arbitration #: 17-01756. Supposedly, Fuentes, or someone under his control, sold unsuitable restricted stocks and warrants to the client. Supposedly, the broker also negligently or even deceptively misrepresented investments. The client then alleged that Fuentes or his subordinate broker breached both a fiduciary duty and an investment agreement. Eventually, FINRA Arbitrators found for the client. The Award issued February 1, 2018 directed that Fuentes compensate the client for the harm caused.
