Investor Alert: Investigation into Atlas Fund III, IV, & V (Klarna, Kraken, Scopely)

The securities litigation team at SecuritiesLawyer.com is investigating potential fraud and preparing an Atlas Fund lawsuit investigation. We are looking into Atlas Fund Management LLC and its placement agent, Spartan Capital Securities.

We want to speak with investors who bought these specific private funds:

  • Atlas Fund III Ser B LLC (Klarna)
  • Atlas Fund III Ser E LLC (Scopely)
  • Atlas Fund IV LLC Ser A (Kraken)
  • Atlas Fund V LLC Ser C (Dataminr)
  • Atlas Fund V LLC Ser F, F1, & F2 (The Zebra)

The Investigation: Did Atlas Fund Own the Shares?

Brokers marketed these funds as an exclusive chance to buy "unicorn" companies. They promised access to stocks like Klarna and Kraken before they went public. However, the reality may be disturbing.

FINRA regulators found serious problems.

According to disciplinary proceedings, the brokers involved may have failed to do their homework. Specifically, regulators said they ignored "red flags concerning the private investment funds' ownership of the pre-IPO shares."

Did You Invest in an Atlas Fund Pre-IPO Series?

In the private market, valid ownership is critical. We must verify that the fund actually holds the title to the stock.

If Atlas Funds failed to settle the trades, the fund might be empty. As a result, investors could own nothing but a claim against a shell company.

Specific "Series" Concerns

  • Atlas Fund III Ser E (Scopely): Scopely was acquired in 2023. Did you receive a payout? If not, your money may have been misused. It is also possible the fund never owned the shares.
  • Atlas Fund III Ser B (Klarna): Klarna’s value has dropped. However, our main concern is ownership. We are investigating if the fund secured the shares or simply held investor cash while charging fees.
  • Atlas Fund IV LLC Ser A (Kraken): Crypto assets face unique risks. We are investigating if valid title to these shares was ever established.

Recover Your Investment Losses

Did you invest in an Atlas Fund Series offering? You may have grounds to file a claim for securities fraud.

Through FINRA arbitration, you could recover your lost investment, interest, and attorney’s fees.

Do not wait for the funds to liquidate. Strict time limits apply to these claims.
