Investors have only six years to bring a claim for investment losses. Soreide Law Group is currently investigating Citigroup Smith Barney's London-based hedge fund, CSO Partners ("CSO"). Citigroup spokesman, Jon Diat, recently said that the firm has "temporarily suspended redemptions of all shares of CSO to stabilize the fund."
In a recent Wall Street Journal article, it was reported last November CSO ran into trouble when they invested a sizeable amount in a German media company. This fund, which began in 2004, was suspended after investors tried to pull more than 30% of the fund’s $500 million in assets. CSO was forced to buy the debt at face value even though it was trading at about 91 cents on the dollar by that time.
If you invested in Citigroup's CSO Hedge Fund, remember, you only have six years to file a claim. You may potentially be able to recover your financial losses. Call Soreide Law Group for a free consultation with an attorney: 888-760-6552.
