Bryan Chew Faced Commonwealth Financial Network Client’s Breach Of Fiduciary Duty Dispute

Commonwealth Financial Network Investor Accused Chew Of Breach Of Fiduciary Duty

Notably, a Commonwealth Financial Network client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 24-00201 about Bryan Chew. Primarily, the client alleged that Chew breached his fiduciary duty. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages related to over-the-counter equities. Consequently, on February 14, 2024, Commonwealth Financial Network settled this matter by paying the client $6,000 in damages.

Particularly, a client of Commonwealth Financial Network disputed Bryan Chew’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated January 5, 2024. Allegedly, Chew made omissions about the illiquidity of investments. It appears that Chew allegedly caused the client to sustain damages linked to corporate bonds. As a result, the client sought compensation from Commonwealth Financial Network or Chew in the amount of $9,517.69 in this matter. However, the firm denied this complaint.
