IAA Broker Carleton Boothe Possibly Breached A Fiduciary Duty To Investors

Evidently, investors are coming forward with disputes concerning securities broker Michael “Carleton” Boothe [CRD#: 2160227, Fort Lauderdale, Florida]. Apparently, the securities broker, who associated with International Assets Advisory from 2014 to 2018, reports 2 investor disputes on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) BrokerCheck. Notably, International Assets Advisory clients suggest that Boothe breached a fiduciary duty and engaged in unauthorized and unsuitable transactions. International Assets Advisory Investors Indicate That Carleton Boothe Breached Fiduciary Duty

Supposedly, a client of International Assets Advisory contested Carleton Boothe’s actions by filing FINRA Arbitration #: 19-00439 on February 11, 2019. Allegedly, Boothe failed to comply with his fiduciary responsibility. Also, he allegedly acted negligently through his recommendations or transactions. Furthermore, it appears that the securities broker potentially breached his duties under contract. The client additionally suggested that the securities broker deceived the client. Supposedly, the common or preferred stocks which Boothe possibly recommended or sold had caused the client to sustain losses. Consequently, International Assets Advisory agreed to settle the client’s dispute on April 23, 2019 through paying the client $32,500.

Boothe Allegedly Makes Unauthorized Trades

Supposedly, on February 22, 2018, an International Assets Advisory client made a formal complaint concerning Carleton Boothe. Apparently, the client contended that Boothe traded without authorization. The client indicated that the securities broker additionally caused the client to incur unreasonable losses on common or preferred stocks and real estate investment trusts. Consequently, the client requested $20,000 in compensation from International Assets Advisory or Boothe. However, the securities firm denied the complaint.
