Former Wells Fargo Brokers CHARLES FRIEDA and CHARLES LYNCH JR, Were Barred by FINRA

Stock Broker Barred By FINRA

CHARLES HENRY FRIEDA CRD#: 5502319
and CHARLES BERNARD LYNCH JR (also known as: CHARLES B LYNCH JR, CHARLES LYNCH JR,CHARLIE BERNARD LYNCH JR,CHARLIE BERNARD LYNCH) CRD#: 3004877
were both barred by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). The Irvine, California, former Wells Fargo brokers, were barred for allegedly recommending an over-concentration in energy-sector securities, some were speculative, which resulted in heavy losses to their clients.
FINRA stated that between November of 2012 and October of 2015, the two brokers recommended an investment strategy involving four speculative energy stocks to more than 50 clients.
According to FINRA, due to the speculative nature of the securities, the volatility of the energy market, and the high level of concentration, the clients were exposed to significant potential losses.
FINRA stated that the two Wells Fargo brokers failed to consider and obtain accurate client investment profile information to determine the suitability of their recommendations. FINRA stated that brokers must give proper consideration of each client's individual investment experience, risk tolerance, investment time horizon, net worth, liquidity needs, and income.
Lynch was terminated by Wells Fargo in 2016 and Frieda was terminated by Wells Fargo in 2017.
FINRA has barred both of these brokers from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with a broker-dealer firm.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, CHARLES LYNCH JR, has 57 Disclosures on his report, 56 of them are Customer Disputes. According to CHARLES FRIEDA’s, FINRA BrokerCheck, he has 53 Disclosures on his report with 52 of them Customer Disputes.  Many allegations were similar for both brokers and included but were not limited to:  unsuitable recommendations, over-concentration in the energy sector, misrepresentation, and negligence.
