Soreide Law Group is investigating possible investor claims against securities broker Cindy Hanerhoff (also known as Cindy Leah Hanerhoff Dorbecker and Cindy H. Lara) [CRD: 1084549, Houston, Texas]. Specifically, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck discloses that investors disputed the sales practices of the securities broker, who worked for Sunbelt Securities Inc. Also, FINRA sanctioned her. Here is a brief summary of the disclosures about Hanerhoff.

Sunbelt Securities Inc. Investor Accused Cindy Hanerhoff Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Particularly, on September 15, 2022, a Sunbelt Securities Inc. client filed a complaint about Cindy Hanerhoff. Namely, the client alleged that Hanerhoff made unsuitable recommendations. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on corporate bonds. Therefore, the client requested $168,000 in compensation from Sunbelt Securities Inc. or Hanerhoff. Evidently, this complaint is pending a resolution.

FINRA Sanctions LaraDorbecker Securities Corporation Securities Broker

Specifically, on November 19, 2014, FINRA issued Case: 2013036030001, which contains sanctions against Cindy Hanerhoff for infractions. Specifically, Hanerhoff was fined and suspended as a principal.

Namely, FINRA says that during the time that she was associated with LaraDorbecker Securities Corporation, Hanerhoff allowed an individual who had been suspended in their capacity as FINOP to resume working as FINOP without requalifying by examination. Specifically, this individual was responsible for the firm’s financial reports that were sent to FINRA and the firm’s financial responsibilities under SEC rules. This individual had been suspended and was not allowed to perform that work until they regained their qualification. Supposedly, despite the individual being suspended, Hanerhoff allowed them to continue working in their capacity. As a result, Hanerhoff violated FINRA Rule 2010 and NASD Membership and Registration Rule 1021.
