FINRA Sanctions Damian Baird

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reports important information about Damian Mark Baird (CRD: 3097243, Boston, Massachusetts). Not only has FINRA sanctioned Baird, but investors disputed the sales practices of the securities broker. However, Baird denies the allegations. FINRA Sanctions Baird For Failure To Comply

Supposedly, on March 20, 2023, FINRA issued FINRA Case No. 20-02339 sanctioning Damian Baird for infractions. Specifically, Baird was suspended as a securities broker. Notably, FINRA alleged that Baird did not comply with an arbitration award or settlement agreement or otherwise confirm status of his compliance with FINRA.

In the arbitration case between Morgan Stanley and Baird, the panel found Baird responsible for violating the terms of promissory notes and directed him to pay Morgan Stanley a total of $875,590.28 in damages.

Moors Cabot Inc. Investor Accuses Damian Baird Of Altering Check

Supposedly, on March 1, 2023, a Moors Cabot Inc. client filed a complaint about Damian Baird. Namely, the client alleged that Baird altered a check. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. Therefore, the client requested $50,000 in compensation from Moors Cabot Inc. or Baird. However, this complaint is ongoing.

Baird Discloses Unsuitable Recommendations Allegations By HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. Client

Also, a client of HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. contested Damian Baird’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated December 30, 2008. Allegedly, Baird made unsuitable recommendations, given the client’s conservative investment objectives. Supposedly, Baird caused the client to sustain damages on mutual funds. Therefore, the client requested compensation from HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. or Baird. However, the securities firm denied this complaint.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. Investor Accuses Damian Baird Of Breach Of Contract

Specifically, a HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. client filed NASD Arbitration: 03-04471 about Damian Baird. Namely, the client alleged that Baird breached a contract, breached fiduciary duties, acted unethically, gave unsuitable advice, made misrepresentations, made omissions, and failed to follow instructions. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on unit investment trusts. Therefore, on March 21, 2005, an NASD Arbitration Panel issued an Award ordering HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. or Baird to pay the client $49,963.06 in damages.
