Securities Broker Dawn Strachan (Questar Capital Corporation) Involved In Investor Disputes

New disclosures have surfaced on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) BrokerCheck in regard to securities broker Dawn Alison Strachan (AKA Dawn Alison Osogwin) (CRD#: 4323197, Torrance, California). Specifically, two investors filed disputes about the securities broker. Here’s a quick summary of these disclosures, which concerns her actions at Questar Capital Corporation.

Dawn Strachan’s Questar Capital Corporation Client Alleges Unsuitable Private Placements, REITs

Evidently, Dawn Strachan worked as a securities broker for Questar Capital Corporation in Torrance, California, between September 2014 and March 2019. Also, he worked as a financial advisor representative for Questar Asset Management during that time. Other employers include LPL Financial and Woodbury Financial Services.
It appears that a Questar Capital Corporation client brought a FINRA Arbitration Claim about Dawn Strachan in April 2021. Allegedly, a client of Questar Capital Corporation purchased unsuitable investments, including a REIT and private placement. Suitability relates to an investor’s risk tolerance, investment objectives, financial needs, investment experience, among other things. Supposedly, the client experienced $999,999 in damages because of unsuitable products. For this reason, they seek compensation in this ongoing matter.

Client Of Questar Capital Corporation Alleges Unsuitable Real Estate Investment Trusts

In the second dispute on BrokerCheck regarding Dawn Strachan, a Questar Capital Corporation client alleges unsuitable real estate securities. The April 2018 dispute alleges that the client bought two unsuitable REITs and incurred damages. However, Questar Capital Corporation denied this dispute.
