Perera allegedly reached out to one client to invest, via email, telephone calls and text from February 2022 to March 2023, to purchase shares in the Nasdaq index and New York Stock Exchange in exchange for a fee. This resulted in one New Jersey resident providing him with $4.2 million, which it is alleged he misappropriated some or all of the money. Surage Perera according to sources, has not entered a plea and it is likely he will enter a plea of not guilty and deny all charges.
Surage Perera was registered with Aegis Capital Corp., from 2018 through September 2022.
