The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) has barred Jo Ellen Fisher of Gallipolis, Ohio, a former Raymond James Financial Services Inc. financial advisor, for allegedly stealing more than $924,000 in cash and securities from a 95 year-old client's trust account. Allegedly, Fisher transferred the stolen funds into her own daughter's brokerage account. Jo Ellen Fisher then allegedly used the funds for her own personal use.
According to FINRA, Fisher also falsified a godparent’s certificate and provided false client notes to Raymond James giving the appearance that the 95 year-old client was her daughter’s godfather and he intended to give her daughter the securities and cash.
According to FINRA's BrokerCheck, Jo Ellen Fisher was previously registered with the following securities firm(s):
01/2010 - 05/2014 RAYMOND JAMES FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC. (CRD# 6694) - GALLIPOLIS, OH
11/2008 - 12/2009 STATE FARM VP MANAGEMENT CORP. (CRD# 43036) - BLOOMINGTON, IL
