On August 20, 2024, Gregory Alan Corrie was permanently barred from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with a broker/dealer firm by FINRA. Greg Corrie was discharged from CAMBRIDGE INVESTMENT RESEARCH, INC. of Boise, Idaho, on February 16, 2023, with allegations of, “Excessive use of UIT products.” He worked as a broker with Cambridge Investment from 01/02/2020 - 03/17/2023.
According to the FINRA report, without admitting or denying FINRA’s findings, Gregory Alan Corrie, consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he allegedly declined to produce information and documents requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation into the circumstances giving rise to the Form U5 filed by his member firm.
According to the BrokerCheck report, FINRA’s findings stated that Gregory Alan Corrie's firm had terminated Corrie for excessive use of UIT products. After an internal review by the firm was concluded, the firm made remediation payments related to the trading activity.
A unit investment trust, or UIT is a typically packaged portfolio of stocks and bonds, that can have high commissions and incur unnecessary fees if they are not held to their maturity date.
