Howard Price III, Formerly with AXA Advisors Charged in $475K Theft from Retirement Accounts

Victims of Broker Fraud Can File At FINRA

HOWARD MILTON PRICE III (HOWARD PRICE) CRD#: 4650960, a 44 year old broker, formerly with AXA Advisors in Scottsdale, Arizona, was charged with stealing $475,000 from three of his clients' retirement accounts. Officials said that Howard Price III is charged with one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices and three counts of theft.
According to the Arizona Attorney General's office, on May 29, 2018, the indictment alleged Howard Price III persuaded three of his clients to move their money from their IRAs at AXA Advisors, his former firm in Scottsdale to his own firm, Howard Price Wealth Management, between 2013 and 2017. The Arizona Attorney General’s office said that Price knew his three clients personally, one of whom was an old friend. According to the indictment they trusted him a great deal as a result. According to the documents Price allegedly promised his three clients guaranteed returns from their investments.
Allegedly, one of Price's clients gave him at approximately $273,000 between February of 2014 and April of 2016. The allegations state that Price failed to produce any financial statements during that time despite numerous requests from the client and her daughter. It is also alleged that Price gave fraudulent financial reports to another client, claiming he invested their money through LPL Financial. In August of 2017, that client submitted an application listing Price as her financial adviser to move $412,000 from AXA Advisors to Price's firm. This client later canceled the order after a representative from the company informed her that Price wasn't licensed since 2012.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, Howard Price III has 3 Disclosures on his report, all 3 are “Customer Disputes.” He was registered in the securities industry for 8 years and was listed with the following 2 firms:
