On February 27, 2017 Jean Walsh-Josephson, on trial in Wisconsin on multiple felony charges was found dead with her husband in a double shooting, an apparent suicide pact. It appeared the Josephsons planned the shootings and wrote their own obituaries and farewell letters.
Jean Walsh-Josephson, 57, and Dewey Josephson, 59, died from gunshot wounds.
Walsh-Josephson’s jury trial started last week on 36 felony charges of theft in a business setting in excess of $10,000, plus three lesser charges.
After learning of her death, the circuit court ordered all her estate assets to be frozen, including the bond money, and scheduled a hearing in April to decide what to do with the money.
Last year, the Wisconsin Office of the Commissioner of Insurance ordered Jean Walsh-Josephson to pay a $1 million forfeiture and more than $500,000 in restitution.
