Notably, FINRA alleged that Gravelyn refused to produce documents and information requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation into the circumstances giving rise to a Form U5 filed by his employer. He violated FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210 for this reason.
Notably, on May 11, 2023, Northwestern Mutual filed a Uniform Termination Notice for Securities Industry Registration (Form U5), disclosing that Gravelyn had been permitted to resign after a review of his business practices revealed violations of company policy. Following up on this, on February 15, 2024, FINRA sent a request to Gravelyn for documents and information. Supposedly, after Gravelyn did not respond, FINRA sent a second letter on March 22, 2024. Eventually, Gravelyn's lawyer communicated on April 10, 2024, that Gravelyn acknowledged receiving FINRA’s requests and would not produce the requested information or documents.
