RYAN ASHLEY RASKIN (RYAN RASKIN) CRD#: 5539610, formerly of Merrill Lynch in Beverly Hills, California, was recently barred by FINRA for failing to cooperate with its investigation into why he was discharged from Merrill Lynch. According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, Raskin was discharged on March 4, 2020 from Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. following allegations of, “Conduct involving business practices inconsistent with Firm standards, including inappropriate investment recommendations.” Raskin has not registered with any other firm since he was discharged.
Also listed on Raskin's BrokerCheck report is a Customer Dispute filed against RYAN RASKIN on September 17, 2020, with allegations of, “The customer alleges unauthorized trading and churning from January 2018 until January 2020.”  This dispute was denied.
According to FINRA, a request was made to RYAN RASKIN to produce documents and information relating to his discharge from Merrill Lynch by September 15, a deadline set by FINRA.  Raskin failed to produce the information to FINRA. FINRA then made a second request for the documents in December and Raskin did not respond, according to FINRA. FINRA then barred Raskin.
RYAN RASKIN, according to FINRA’s Brokercheck, began his career in the securities industry in July of 2008 with Morgan Stanley in Beverly Hills, California. Raskin began with Merrill Lynch in May of 2016. Raskin was registered for 11 years and had been listed with the following three firms:
