Timothy Calvert Faced First Citizens Investor Services Investor’s Misrepresentation Complaint

Evidently, on March 13, 2026, a First Citizens Investor Services Inc. client filed a complaint about Timothy Calvert. Primarily, the client alleged that Calvert made misrepresentations concerning the tax consequences of certain transactions. For this reason, the client allegedly sustained damages. Consequently, the client requested $13,280 in compensation from First Citizens Investor Services Inc. or Calvert.

Particularly, a client of First Citizens Investor Services Inc. contested Timothy Calvert's sales practices, according to a complaint dated November 6, 2025. Allegedly, the client's power of attorney claimed that the client did not knowingly authorize the purchase of a new indexed annuity carrying a seven-year commitment period. The complaint further alleged that the client believed documents signed during the transaction were intended to make administrative updates to existing policies rather than establish a new annuity contract. It appears that Calvert allegedly caused the client to sustain damages. Therefore, the client sought compensation from First Citizens Investor Services Inc. or Calvert in the amount of $28,624.92 in this matter.

Also, on May 21, 2021, a First Citizens Investor Services client filed a complaint about Timothy Calvert. Mainly, the client alleged that Calvert caused a seven-year fixed annuity to be purchased despite the client's contention that a five-year annuity was the contract that had been agreed to. The client further alleged that the longer-term annuity generated a higher commission for the representative. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. As a result, the client requested compensation from First Citizens Investor Services or Calvert. The complaint was denied on July 12, 2021.
