TYLER DEAN DELAHUNT (TYLER DELAHUNT, CRD#: 4419594), formerly with Merrill Lynch of Atlanta, Georgia, was barred by FINRA on January 25, 2021, from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with a broker-dealer firm. Delahunt was previously registered both as a broker and as an investment advisor.
Without admitting or denying FINRA’s findings, TYLER DELAHUNT consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he allegedly failed to respond to a FINRA request for information and documents in connection with FINRA's investigation. This investigation was regarding whether Delahunt had allegedly solicited clients in a private securities transaction without the approval of his member firm and whether he had allegedly accepted loans or other funds from clients without notice to his firm.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, TYLER DELAHUNT was discharged by Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, on August 3, 2020, following allegations of, “Conduct involving improper solicitation of clients related to an outside investment and participating in financial arrangements involving clients.”
According to a recent article in Investment Advisor IQ, based on the Form U5 termination notice filed by Merrill Lynch, FINRA began investigating into whether TYLER DELAHUNT had taken part in private securities transactions without the firm’s prior approval, and whether he had improperly accepted loans or other funds from clients without Merrill Lynch’s approval. Then, according to FINRA in December, Delahunt allegedly told FINRA staff that he would not provide the documents FINRA had requested.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, TYLER DELAHUNT had been in the securities industry for 19 years and was listed with 5 firms, the most recent listed below:
