Andrew Grant Discloses Allegations Of Discretionary Trading

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reports important information about securities broker Andrew Justin Grant (also known as Andy Grant) (CRD: 2709882, Melville, New York). Not only has FINRA sanctioned Grant for engaged in discretionary trading, but investors disputed his sales practices. However, Grant denies the allegations. FINRA Sanctions Grant For Discretionary Trading

Supposedly, on March 29, 2023, FINRA issued Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2020068113401 sanctioning Andrew Grant for infractions. Specifically, Grant was fined $5,000 and suspended for 1 month as a securities broker. Notably, FINRA alleged that Grant engaged in discretionary trading.

Andrew Grant Sanctioned By FINRA For Discretionary Trading

Notably, FINRA issued Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2018059749401 on January 17, 2020, sanctioning Andrew Grant for infractions. Allegedly, Grant engaged in discretionary trading. Therefore, Grant was fined $5,000 and suspended for 15 days as a securities broker.

Between January 1, 2018, and April 30, 2019, Grant conducted 634 transactions in the accounts of 13 clients by exercising discretionary trading authority. None of these 13 clients provided written authorization for Grant to make trades on their behalf, and Laidlaw did not approve these accounts for discretionary trading.

As a result, Grant violated NASD Rule 2510(b) and FINRA Rule 2010.

Laidlaw Company (UK) Ltd. Investor Accuses Grant Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Supposedly, on August 2, 2018, a Laidlaw Company (UK) Ltd. client filed a complaint about Andrew Grant. Namely, the client alleged that Grant made unsuitable recommendations. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on options, stocks, and over-the-counter equities. Therefore, the client requested $125,000 in compensation from Laidlaw Company (UK) Ltd. or Grant. However, the securities firm denied this complaint.

  • Grant has worked for Network 1 Financial Securities Inc. in Hauppauge, New York, as a securities broker since May 27, 2022.
  • Grant worked for Laidlaw Company (UK) Ltd. in Melville, New York, as a securities broker from November 26, 2012, to May 5, 2022.
