The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reports important information about securities broker Brian Donnelly AKA Brian F. Donnelly [CRD#: 4288121, Iselin, NJ]. However, Donnelly denies the allegations. Read on to learn more about the allegations against Donnelly.

First Allied Securities Broker Sanctioned By FINRA For Private Securities Transactions

Evidently, on June 21, 2022, FINRA issued Case #: 2021071491001 sanctioning Brian Donnelly for infractions. Specifically, FINRA imposed a four-month suspension. Notably, FINRA alleged that Donnelly engaged in a private securities transaction.

Supposedly, from February 2020 through March 2021, Donnelly was involved in a private securities transaction by aiding in the sale of $250,000.00 of a security to a client. Supposedly, the broker did not provide written notice to First Allied Securities Inc. for that transaction.

Specifically, Donnelly introduced a firm client to the president of a company that was looking for investors in limited partnership units. Supposedly, Donnelly gave the client the private placement memo from the company and advised the client on how they could make payment. The client ultimately invested $250,000.00 in the company. The broker did not receive any compensation for his role. Donnelly also used his personal email and text messages on his cell phone to correspond with a firm client about securities transactions. Donnelly violated FINRA Rules 2010 and 3280 as a result.

Gitterman Wealth Management Securities Broker Brian Donnelly Terminated For Alleged Unauthorized Activities

Also, Gitterman Wealth Management disaffiliated with Donnelly. Evidently, Gitterman Wealth Management alleged that Donnelly initiated a transaction against non-traded REIT guidelines.

Brian Donnelly worked for First Allied Securities in Iselin, NJ, as a securities broker from December 17, 2015 to May 21, 2021.

Donnelly Discloses Unsuitable Trading Allegations By Triad Advisors Client

Evidently, a client of Triad Advisors contested Brian Donnelly’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration #: 19-02968. Allegedly, Donnelly made unsuitable transactions. Supposedly, the DPPs and LPs which Donnelly sold or recommended had caused the client to sustain damages. Therefore, Triad Advisors opted to settle the matter on August 8, 2020 by compensating the client in the amount of $55,000.
