The Claimants, a married couple residing in Virginia, maintained accounts with CAMBRIA CAPITAL, LLC.  The Respondent is a full-service securities broker/dealer with offices around the country.

The Claimants are seeking damages from CAMBRIA CAPITAL due to the alleged misconduct of its Financial Advisor, JAREK CHRISTIAN HANSEN (Jarek Hansen). Allegedly, Jarek Hansen made a series of speculative investments in the Claimants’ investment accounts with CAMBRIA CAPITAL. Jarek Hansen is not named in the lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges that Jarek Hansen traded commodities, futures, and options in accounts for the Claimants, which suffered devastating losses.  The Claimants allege compensatory damages of $150,000, which includes punitive damages, interest, costs, and attorneys’ fees.

The allegations brought by the lawsuit are:  breach of fiduciary duty, violation of industry rules, breach of contract, and negligence.

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, which is available to the public on FINRA’s website, Jarek Hansen has been in the securities industry for 5 years and was listed with 3 firms.  He has been registered with the following firm since 10/6/2016:
