CORBIN LAMBERT Charged by SEC

victim of broker fraud? free consultations by soreide law group

CORBIN LINDSAY LAMBERT (CORBIN LAMBERT) CRD#: 3191042, the former CEO of Continuum Financial, from Omaha, Nebraska, was charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with allegedly conducting a cherry-picking scheme that defrauded his clients. The SEC’s complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, charging Lambert with violating the anti-fraud provisions of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
On September 29, 2020, the SEC filed the complaint alleging that from at least January of 2017 through March of 2018, CORBIN LAMBERT placed options trades using Continuum Financial’s omnibus account, which is intended to facilitate purchases of securities for multiple client accounts. But according to the SEC complaint, Lambert put off allocating the securities to clients’ accounts until he saw how the securities performed over the course of the day.
The SEC complaint alleges that CORBIN LAMBERT then disproportionately cherry-picked the profitable trades to be allocated to his own personal account and then allegedly allocated the unprofitable trades to his clients’ accounts.  The SEC alleged in their complaint that Lambert misrepresented to his clients that the trades would be allocated in a fair and equitable manner, and he allegedly concealed his misconduct from the other principals of Continuum Financial.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, CORBIN LAMBERT has been registered in the securities industry for 21 years.  Lambert was listed with 5 firms.
Lambert is currently listed with the following two firms:
SECURITIES AMERICA, INC.
