Parkland Securities Arbitrations Over 2014 Investments Name Randall Mason
A customer arbitration over investments bought in 2014 appears on Randall Mason's BrokerCheck report, and it ended in an award. Mason (CRD 1758777) denied the customer's unsuitability allegations in a statement on BrokerCheck. A second customer raised similar allegations in an earlier claim, which settled. Both disputes name Parkland Securities as the firm.
What Did The 2023 Claim Against Randall Mason Allege?
The customer filed the claim on July 31, 2023, and Randall Mason's report lists it under docket number 23-02074. She sought $99,999 in damages. Her statement of claim alleged that the investments she bought in 2014 were unsuitable given her financial situation, investment objectives and risk.
The arbitration then went to an award on March 28, 2024.
How Did Randall Mason Answer The Unsuitability Allegations?
Randall Mason rejected the claim in a statement included with the disclosure. "I absolutely deny the allegations that the investment was unsuitable," he wrote.
He went on to say that "the client was fully informed of all the aspects of the investment." According to Mason, the client also signed all disclosure documentation. He added that the client agreed the investment was suitable at the time of the sale.
Why Account Paperwork Matters In A Suitability Dispute
A suitability claim asks whether a recommendation fit the customer's profile when the broker made it. That profile covers a customer's financial situation, investment objectives and tolerance for risk. The claims on Randall Mason's report use those same terms.
When we review a claim like this, we start with the new-account form and the customer's own written answers. Signed disclosure documents matter too, because they show what the customer received before buying. Arbitrators then weigh that paperwork against each side's account of the conversations.
What Happened In The Earlier Parkland Securities Claim?
Another customer filed a claim on September 23, 2021, under docket number 21-02424. His claim alleged that 2014 purchases were unsuitable for him, given his financial situation, investment objectives and risk. He sought $134,000.
The claim settled on November 2, 2022 for $57,500. A settlement ends a claim without any ruling on whether Randall Mason did anything wrong.

This post summarizes public FINRA records, including BrokerCheck, as of October 21, 2026. Allegations in customer complaints and arbitrations are claims, not findings. A settlement is also not an admission of wrongdoing. FINRA may also update or correct these records after that date.
