FINRA Bars Daniel Bicket

Victim of Risky Investments?

Soreide Law Group is investigating possible investor claims against securities broker Daniel Lee Bicket (also known as Dan Bicket) [CRD: 1366026, Reinbeck, Iowa]. Notably, FINRA sanctioned the securities broker, who worked for Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC. Allegedly, Bicket failed to testify during an investigation into possible FINRA rule violations. Here is a brief summary of FINRA’s allegations against Bicket.

FINRA Bars Daniel Bicket For Failure To Testify

Particularly, on July 14, 2022, FINRA issued Case: 2021071798401, which contains sanctions against Daniel Bicket for infractions. Specifically, Bicket was barred as a securities broker. Mainly, FINRA alleged that Bicket failed to testify during an investigation into possible FINRA rule violations.

Namely, FINRA says that in June 2022, Bicket was sent a notice to appear for testimony. This apperance concerned allegations that Bicket sold equity indexed annuities in violation of FINRA rules and his firm’s supervisory procedures. Evidently, on June 30, 2022, FINRA sent a request for Bicket to appear for testimony. On that same date, Bicket indicated that he had received FINRA’s request but would not appear for testimony at any time. Bicket violated FINRA Rules 2010 and 8210 as a result.

Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC Disaffiliates With Securities Broker For Outside Business Activities

Specifically, on June 1, 2021, Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC terminated the registration of Bicket. Evidently, Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC alleged that Bicket engaged in an undisclosed outside business activity.

Bicket worked for Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC in Reinbeck, IA, as a securities broker from May of 1985 to June of 2021.
