Losses from NEWBRIDGE SECURITIES CORPORATION, JESSE KRAPF?

Soreide Law Group is evaluating possible claims on behalf of those who invested with Newbridge Securities Corporation securities broker Jesse Krapf (CRD#: 5467277, McDonough, Georgia). Evidently, Jesse Krapf worked at the firm’s McDonough, Georgia offices between February 12, 2016 and February 21, 2019. Evidently, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck shows that a customer contested Krapf’s sales practices. Here’s a summary of the customer’s claims of breach of fiduciary and negligence.

October 10, 2018 Claim Of Negligence Against Newbridge Concerns Jesse Krapf

A customer of Newbridge Securities Corporation brought FINRA Arbitration #18-03480 on October 10, 2018. According to the customer, Newbridge Securities Corporation or Jesse Krapf committed a breach of fiduciary duty with respect to the customer’s stock investments. Not only that, but the customer alleged that Krapf or Newbridge Securities Corporation acted irresponsibly and negligently. Because of this, the customer lost an estimated $500,000.00. Therefore, the customer brought the Arbitration to recover the investment losses caused by alleged fiduciary violations and negligence. FINRA BrokerCheck shows that this complaint is ongoing.

Negligence and Breach Of Fiduciary Duty

Investors can bring claims against a brokerage firm, stockbroker, or both, when the firm or stockbroker fails to conduct business with a customer in a way that a reasonably prudent broker would conduct business. Negligence also occurs when brokers, possibly including Jesse Krapf, do not comply with securities industry standards. Indeed, FINRA reports that there were 1,974 arbitration claims of negligence in 2018 alone. The most common claim of 2018, breach of fiduciary duty, which investors brought in 2,290 arbitration claims in 2018, typically involves a brokerage firm or stockbroker failing to place the investors’ needs and interests first. Notably, a broker violates a fiduciary duty when the broker knowingly gains a benefit which comes at the customer’s expense.
