Loss Due to Stock Broker

JOHN STEPHEN PRONOVOST (JOHN S PRONOVOST)
Since 2/26/21, JOHN S PRONOVOST has been listed with, INFINEX INVESTMENTS, INC. of Watertown, Connecticut.  He was previously registered as an investment advisor with CAMBRIDGE INVESTMENT RESEARCH ADVISORS, INC, and as a broker with CAMBRIDGE INVESTMENT RESEARCH, INC, both of Watertown, Connecticut from 02/29/2008 - 03/02/2021.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, JOHN S PRONOVOST, has been in the securities industry for 32 years and has been listed with 5 firms. Pronovost has 15 disclosures on his FINRA CRD report.  All of the 15 disclosures are “Customer Disputes,” dating back to 2018. Of the 15 disputes, 10 have settled, 2 were denied, 1 was granted an award/judgement, and 2 are pending.
The significance of JOHN S PRONOVOST’s FINRA Customer Complaints is underscored in FINRA NOTICE to MEMBERS 03-49. FINRA conducted a review of the CRD’s of all registered representatives, only .41% had been the subject of (3) or more customer complaints. In other words Pronovost’s customer complaints rank him in the top one-hundredth percent of all registered representatives for customer complaints. 
Of the 10 disputes that have settled, 2 of the disputes list LJM in the complaint. One of the disputes listed, from June 28, 2018, alleges, Clients allege the sale of LJM funds was unsuitable.” The dispute settled for $30,000.00. On December 11, 2018, there was a dispute filed alleging, “Clients allege the sale of LJM funds was unsuitable.”  This dispute settled for $60,000.00. Some of the other allegations listed in the settled disputes were unsuitability and misrepresentation.
