FINRA Sanctions Joseph Audia

Family Broker Fraud

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reports important information about securities broker Joseph Audia (also known as Joseph Scott Audia) [CRD: 2909761, Hauppauge, NY]. Not only has FINRA sanctioned Audia for failure to supervise, but investors complained about the securities broker. However, Joseph Audia denies the allegations. FINRA Sanctions Audia For Failure To Supervise

Evidently, on December 20, 2021, FINRA issued Case: 2019063821604, sanctioning Joseph Audia for infractions. Specifically, Audia was issued a suspension (as principal) and a fine of $5,000. Notably, FINRA alleged that Audia failed to supervise registered representatives. Supposedly, those representatives unsuitably and excessively traded in client accounts.

American Capital Partners LLC Investor Accused Joseph Audia Of Churning

Also, an American Capital Partners LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration: 10-02298 about Joseph Audia. Namely, the client alleged that Audia made unsuitable recommendations, acted unethically, churned accounts, was negligent, and breached a fiduciary duty. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on stocks. Therefore, on September 12, 2011, American Capital Partners LLC settled this matter. However, the firm and securities broker admit no liability in this settlement.

American Capital Partners LLC Investor Accused Audia Of Negligence

Additionally, an American Capital Partners LLC client filed NASD Arbitration: 05-06624 about Joseph Audia. Namely, the client alleged that Audia was negligent, inappropriately used margin, made unsuitable recommendations, engaged in unauthorized trading, and churned accounts. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on futures. Therefore, on February 16, 2007, American Capital Partners LLC settled this matter by paying the client $24,000 in damages. Although, the firm and Audia admit no liability in this settlement.

Joseph Audia Disclosed Failure To Follow Instructions Allegations By Joseph Gunnar Co. LLC Client

Also, a client of Joseph Gunnar Co. LLC contested Joseph Audia’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated February 7, 2002. Allegedly, Audia failed to follow instructions. Supposedly, Audia caused the client to sustain damages on over-the-counter equities. Therefore, the client asked for compensatory relief from Joseph Gunnar Co. LLC or Audia in the amount of $45,000 in this dispute, which the firm and broker denied.
