Also, on December 27, 2021, FINRA issued Acceptance, Waiver, and Consent No. 2021071290001 sanctioning Kyle Wittgren for infractions. Specifically, Wittgren was barred, prohibited work for any FINRA-member firm in any role. Notably, the financial industry watchdog alleged that Wittgren failed to testify during an investigation.
Evidently, without accepting or denying the conclusions, Wittgren agreed to the penalty and acknowledgment that he declined to provide testimony to FINRA. Supposedly, FINRA's investigation started after it received a Form U5 submitted by NYLife Securities LLC.
Notably, the Form U5 revealed the firm's decision to allow Wittgren's resignation following his admission of signing clients' names without their knowledge or consent. Supposedly, he submitted unfunded variable annuity rollover applications and altered the email addresses of three clients, all of which were in violation of company policy.
