New Jersey Bureau Of Securities Revokes Broker Maria Tamburro's Securities Agent License
Soreide Law Group is looking into potential investor disputes against securities broker Maria Tamburro [CRD#: 5977689, Florham Park, New Jersey]. Mainly, New Jersey Bureau of Securities revoked her securities agent license and FINRA barred her for unauthorized trading. Tamburro, who most recently worked for Ameriprise Financial Services from 2011 to 2016, was also uncooperative in an investigation. Here is a brief summary of the allegations against Tamburro:
New Jersey Bureau of Securities Sanctions Maria Tamburro For FINRA Bar
Apparently, on September 20, 2018, New Jersey Bureau of Securities ordered the revocation of Maria Tamburro’s securities license because FINRA barred her. Notably, New Jersey Bureau of Securities asserted that the self-regulatory organization “expelled” her for unauthorized trading.
FINRA Bars Tamburro For Unauthorized Mutual Fund Trades
Evidently, FINRA issued Acceptance, Waiver and Consent ("AWC") #: 2018056872301 on May 29, 2018 barring Maria Tamburro for unauthorized trading. FINRA says that in 2016, she made $260,000 in mutual fund purchases for 6 clients. Allegedly, Tamburro charged more than $7,500 in commissions for unauthorized mutual fund purchases. It also appears that the securities broker did not call clients before making purchases. In addition, FINRA says that Tamburro sold a client’s securities and made fund transfers without permission. Therefore, on May 29, 2018, FINRA indefinitely barred her from maintaining any association with FINRA members.
FINRA Also Bars Maria Tamburro For Failure To Respond
Apparently, FINRA also issued Letter #: 2016051905301 on September 25, 2017 barring Maria Tamburro between September 25, 2017 and October 13, 2017. Allegedly, Tamburro failed to respond to FINRA's request for information. This could have been a pre-investigation inquiry or some other matter requiring Tamburro’s attention that she disregarded.
