Mark Richards Involved In Madison Avenue Client Dispute Re: Unsuitable Advice

One or more investors apparently complained about securities broker Mark Wilkinson Richards (also known as Mark Wilkinson Dickey) [CRD: 2730478, Tijeras, New Mexico], according to disclosures on FINRA BrokerCheck. Evidently, Richards has worked for Madison Avenue Securities LLC in Tijeras, New Mexico since July 24, 2006, as a broker, and since March 25, 2009, as an investment adviser. Madison Avenue Securities Accused Richards Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Specifically, on April 30, 2025, a Madison Avenue Securities LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 25-00819 about Mark Richards. Notably, the client alleged that Richards made unsuitable recommendations of alternative investments. As a result, the client sought compensation from Madison Avenue Securities LLC or Richards. According to the Statement of Claim, the clients invested $750,000 in these alternative investments.

Investor Accused Mark Richards Of Omissions At Madison Avenue Securities

Particularly, a Madison Avenue Securities LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 19-01483 about Mark Richards. Mainly, the client alleged that Richards failed to disclose the risks and illiquid classification of direct investments. The client allegedly also invested in a third party managed account that lost value. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. Therefore, on February 11, 2020, Madison Avenue Securities LLC settled this matter by paying the client $220,000.00 in damages.

Richards Disclosed Sales Practice Allegations By Intersecurities Inc. Client

Also, a client of Intersecurities Inc. contested Mark Richards’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated April 27, 2001. Allegedly, Richards engaged in misleading investment practices related to the decline in the stock market in their investments. Allegedly, Richards allegedly caused the client to sustain damages through investments in variable annuities. Because of this, the client sought compensation from Intersecurities Inc. or Richards in the amount of $30,000.00 in this matter. However, the firm denied this complaint.
