Investors apparently complained about securities broker Michael David Kolacz (also known as Mike Kolacz) [CRD: 2566829, Rockwall, Texas], according to public information on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Kolacz has worked for Independent Financial Group LLC as both a broker and financial advisor since June 2023, and previously worked for International Assets Advisory LLC from May 26, 2016, to June 30, 2023, and International Assets Investment Management LLC from August 3, 2016, to June 30, 2023. See below to find out more about disclosures involving Michael Kolacz.

International Assets Advisory Investor Accused Mike Kolacz Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Notably, on March 11, 2026, an International Assets Advisory LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 26-00560 about Michael Kolacz. Primarily, the client alleged that Kolacz made unsuitable recommendations involving L Bonds, including a $40,000 investment in GWG Holdings in October 2017. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. Therefore, the client requested up to $100,000 in compensation from International Assets Advisory LLC or Kolacz. BrokerCheck shows that this arbitration is pending a resolution.

Michael Kolacz Disclosed Sales Practice Violation Allegations By International Assets Advisory LLC Client

Evidently, a client of International Assets Advisory LLC contested Michael Kolacz’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated March 6, 2023. Allegedly, Kolacz placed the client into direct investments that did not match the client’s desire for readily accessible and short-term investments. The client also alleged a breach of fiduciary duty. It appears that Kolacz allegedly caused the client to experience damages linked to direct investments. As a result, the client sought compensation from International Assets Advisory LLC or Kolacz in the amount of $5,000 in this matter. The complaint was later withdrawn on March 11, 2023.

Cetera Advisors LLC Permitted Mike Kolacz To Resign Over Alleged Violation Of Variable Annuity Policy
