Myles Easter Accused of Misrepresentation at Bankers Life

Evidently, Easter joined Bankers Life Securities Inc. on June 14, 2018, and Bankers Life Advisory Services Inc. on January 9, 2024. FINRA Arbitration Award for Misrepresentation of Annuities

In FINRA Arbitration No. 21-01192, a client of Bankers Life Securities Inc. filed a claim about Myles Easter on January 28, 2022, alleging that Easter misrepresented facts regarding the sale of annuities. The client claimed these actions led to financial damages. Evidently, the client was awarded $30,000 in compensatory damages.

Complaint Withdrawn After Allegations of Unsuitable Annuity Recommendations

Further, Easter was involved in a client complaint on November 4, 2020, where the client asked for $12,500 in damages. Allegations included unsuitable investment recommendations for equity-indexed annuities. The client claimed they were advised to purchase a Guaranteed Lifetime Income Annuity (GLIA) without understanding the withdrawal limits. However, the client later withdrew the complaint.

Unsuitable Recommendations Allegations Relating to Equity-Indexed Annuities

On March 24, 2020, another client made a complaint about Easter, requesting $95,000 in damages. The allegations included unsuitable investment recommendations regarding equity-indexed annuities. The complaint alleged that the variable annuity surrendered by the client to purchase BLC annuities provided more guaranteed income than the new product.

Settlement of Misrepresentation Allegation Regarding Annuity Terms

Additionally, Easter has faced other client disputes concerning his conduct. On September 10, 2019, a client’s complaint settled for $17,125 after they accused Easter of misrepresenting the terms of an annuity while he worked for Bankers Life and Casualty Company and Bankers Life Securities Inc.
