Phillip Anderson Fined, Linked To Kingswood Capital Client’s Unsuitable Advice Complaint

FINRA sanctioned securities broker Phillip Curtis Anderson [CRD: 814936, Roseville, California], and investors complained about him, based on publicly available information Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Evidently, Anderson worked for Kingswood Capital Partners LLC from June 15, 2018, to June 30, 2023, and Niagara International Capital Limited from March 24, 2017, to June 15, 2018. FINRA Fined Anderson For Unsuitable Recommendations

Notably, on May 13, 2025, FINRA issued Case: 2020068830201 sanctioning Anderson for infractions. Specifically, Anderson was fined $10,000, ordered to disgorge $8,280 plus interest, and suspended from all capacities for five months. Evidently, FINRA alleged that Anderson made unsuitable recommendations to senior investors given their financial profiles.

The findings indicated that Anderson’s recommendations caused one investor to have approximately 96 percent of their net worth and another to have 35 percent of their net worth (excluding their homes) tied up in risky bond investments. Anderson collected $8,280 in commissions from these sales. A client and a related beneficiary subsequently filed and settled arbitration claims against his firm concerning the losses. The matter was resolved through an Acceptance, Waiver Consent (AWC), and his suspension will run from May 19, 2025, through October 18, 2025.

Kingswood Capital Partners LLC Investor Accused Phillip Anderson Of Unsuitable Advice In GWG Bonds

Specifically, a Kingswood Capital Partners LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 22-01859 about Phillip Anderson. Primarily, the client alleged that Anderson recommended investments in GWG corporate bonds that were unsuitable. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages of $88,000 on corporate bonds. Consequently, on April 3, 2023, Kingswood Capital Partners LLC settled this matter by paying the client $35,000 in damages.

Anderson Disclosed Breach Of Fiduciary Duty Allegations By Niagara International Capital Limited Client

Additionally, a client of Niagara International Capital Limited contested Phillip Anderson’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 21-00862 on August 19, 2021. Allegedly, Anderson breached his fiduciary duty, made unsuitable recommendations, omitted material facts, and made misrepresentations. Supposedly, Anderson caused the client to sustain damages connected to private placements. Therefore, the client seeks compensation from Niagara International Capital Limited or Anderson in the amount of $250,000 in this ongoing matter.

Kingswood Capital Partners LLC Investor Accused Phillip Anderson Of Misrepresentation

Also, a Kingswood Capital Partners LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 23-01054 about Phillip Anderson. Mainly, the client alleged that Anderson made misrepresentations and recommended illiquid covered securities. Consequently, on June 7, 2024, Kingswood Capital Partners LLC settled this matter by paying the client $56,000 in damages.
