RAUL JORGE BENITEZ (CRD#: 4457185), currently registered with WELLS FARGO CLEARING SERVICES, LLC, in AVENTURA, FLORIDA. Benitez has been registered with Wells Fargo both as a broker and an investment advisor since 9/27/2018.
Northstar Financial Services (Bermuda) Ltd. based in Bermuda, is an annuity and life insurance company. Northstar investors were often recommended this investment by their brokers/financial advisors, and may have been interested in the investment due to the tax benefits from an investment based in Bermuda. Many investors may have been promised a low-risk and conservative investment, when in fact it was not. Northstar Bermuda suspended monthly income distributions in 2020, and investors are now dealing with significant losses due to the company filing for bankruptcy and the criminal conviction of owner, Greg Lindberg. It is not likely Northstar Financial Services (Bermuda) Ltd. will be able to pay back the amount owed to fixed-rate contract holders.
Investors may not get their money back from Northstar Bermuda, they may be able to file claims against the financial institutions that recommended and sold Northstar Financial Services (Bermuda) Ltd.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, RAUL JORGE BENITEZ has been in the securities industry for 19 years, listed with 11 firms, and has 5 disclosures on his FINRA CRD report. Of the 5 disclosures listed, 4 are “Customer Disputes.”
On July 6, 2020, there was a Customer Dispute filed against Benitez, with these allegations, “Client alleges Northstar investment was unsuitable.” The client is seeking $218,707.00 in damages. This dispute is pending.

Pending customer claims on BrokerCheck name Michael Graham (CRD 3263494) and list LPL Financial as the firm. Each claim is pending and unproven, and no arbitrator has ruled on any of them. The customers allege that Graham misrepresented guaranteed principal and returns on a secured loan related to a real estate deal.
