Robert Stefanelli Allegedly Churned Accounts

Alexander Capital Investors Indicate Broker Robert Stefanelli Excessively Traded, Churned Accounts

Soreide Law Group is investigating potential investor claims of sales practice violations by securities broker Robert Stefanelli [CRD#: 2566917, New York, New York]. Notably, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (“FINRA”) BrokerCheck shows that four investors took aim at the securities broker, who associated with Alexander Capital since May 4, 2012. Notably, clients of Alexander Capital suggest that Stefanelli, among other things, churned their accounts and caused their losses. The following contains a summary of some alarming disclosures concerning Stefanelli:

Alexander Capital Client Indicates That Robert Stefanelli Churned Investment Account

Evidently, a client of Alexander Capital contested Robert Stefanelli in FINRA Arbitration Claim #: 18-01435 dated April 19, 2018. Allegedly, Stefanelli churned or excessively traded the client’s account so that he could maximize commissions. It appears that the securities broker also seemingly failed to take into account the client's investment profile when making stock trades. Stefanelli purportedly caused the client to sustain losses because of his unsuitable transactions. For this reason, Alexander Capital agreed to settle the client’s dispute on July 31, 2019 through paying the client $14,900.

Stefanelli Allegedly Made Excessive Equity Trades

Notably, a second client of Alexander Capital contested Robert Stefanelli according to FINRA Arbitration Claim #: 16-03517. Supposedly, Stefanelli pushed the client towards making or approving of excessive trades for the client’s account. Allegedly, the securities broker also used margin to make equity trades which caused the client to experience losses. As a result, Alexander Capital agreed to settle this claim on January 25, 2017 through paying the client $14,900.
