For this reason, the client allegedly sustained damages associated with variable annuities and mutual funds. As a result, on December 9, 2014, SagePoint Financial Inc. settled this matter by paying the client $60,000 in damages.

It appears that Jones caused the client to sustain damages linked to mutual funds. Consequently, SagePoint Financial Inc. opted to settle the matter on June 7, 2013, by compensating the client in the amount of $350,975.
