SANDY SIMMONS JR Barred by FINRA

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, SANFORD GRAHAM SIMMONS JR (SANDY SIMMONS JR, SANFORD GRAHAM SIMMONS) was permanently barred from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with a broker/dealer firm by FINRA on October 17, 2024.  Simmons was previously registered both as a broker and as an investment advisor.  SANFORD GRAHAM SIMMONS JR was in the securities industry for 39 years and was listed with 16 firms. Simmons was previously listed with SAXONY SECURITIES INC of Castle Rock, Colorado.

According to the FINRA report, without admitting or denying FINRA's findings, SANDY SIMMONS JR consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he allegedly refused to appear for on-the-record testimony requested by FINRA in connection with an ongoing investigation that allegedly originated from a cause examination.

There are 4 disclosures on SANDY SIMMONS JR’s FINRA CRD report. One is an “Employment Separation after Allegations” allowing Simmons to resign from SAXONY SECURITIES, INC. dated October 1, 2024 with the allegations of, “Failed to appear for a scheduled 8210 inquiry.” (FINRA Rule 8210 allows FINRA to request documents, information, and testimony from member firms and their associated persons in connection with investigations or an examination.)

There are two pending “Customer Disputes” listed on SANDY SIMMONS JR’s FINRA CRD report.  The “Customer Dispute” filed against Simmons dated September 23, 2024, alleges, “Breach of its duties and obligations to Claimant in connection with a recommendation to invest in several real estate-based Regulation D private placements.” The damage amount requested is $1,800,000.00.

According to BrokerCheck, there is another pending “Customer Dispute” dated October 3, 2024, alleging, “Breach of its duties and obligations to Claimant in connection with a recommendation to invest in a real estate-based Regulation D private placement.” The damage amount requested in this dispute is $102,000.00.
