SCOTT CHRISTOPHER JACKSON (SCOTT C JACKSON, SCOTT JACKSON) has been registered as a broker with J.W. COLE FINANCIAL, INC of Tampa, Florida, since 10/1/2014 and as an investment advisor with J.W. COLE ADVISORS, INC of Tampa, Florida since 10/2/2014.

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, SCOTT C JACKSON has been in the securities industry for 20 years and has been listed with 4 firms. Jackson has 4 disclosures on his FINRA CRD report.  All 4 disclosures are “Customer Disputes.” One dispute was denied, two have settled and one is pending. The significance of Jackson’s 4 “Customer Disputes” is underscored in FINRA NOTICE to MEMBERS 03-49. FINRA conducted a review of the CRD’s of all registered representatives, only .41% had been the subject of 3 or more customer complaints. In other words, SCOTT C JACKSON’s customer complaints rank him in the top one-hundredth percent of all registered representatives for customer complaints. 

The 1/22/2025 “Customer Dispute” filed against SCOTT C JACKSON is still pending.  The allegations against Jackson are, “Customers allege the investments sold to them, ten years ago, were purchased as the result of breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation, and omission of information.”  The damage amount requested is $100,000.00.

The other disputes filed against SCOTT C JACKSON, according to BrokerCheck, were from 2009. 2010, and 2016. The “Customer Dispute” dated 12/5/2016 settled for $8,750.00. The allegations were, “Client alleges that she was sold high risk REITs, private placements, and an annuity which she claims were unsuitable for any investor.” The settled dispute dated 7/29/2009, settled for $75,000.00 with allegations of, “IT IS CLAIMED THAT FINANCIAL ADVISOR, INTER ALIA, MADE ALLEGEDLY UNSUITABLE INVESTMENTS BEGINNING IN ABOUT MAY 2008.”
