Investors potentially experienced sales practice violations by securities broker Scott Thomas Schaul [CRD: 2200484, Attleboro, Massachusetts], based on publicly available information on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Schaul worked for Essex Securities LLC from March 22, 2010, to August 6, 2019, Pinnacle Investments LLC from June 28, 2019, to April 13, 2026, and has been registered with N.E. Private Client Ltd since April 13, 2026. Keep reading to learn more about the disclosures reported on Schaul’s FINRA BrokerCheck record.

Pinnacle Investments Investor Accused Schaul Of Misrepresentation

Particularly, on May 8, 2025, a Pinnacle Investments LLC client filed a complaint about Scott Schaul. Primarily, the client alleged that Schaul made misrepresentations by describing a closed-end fund as a very safe investment that would experience minimal fluctuations in value. The client further alleged that the investment's subsequent performance did not align with those expectations and resulted in a decline in capital. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. Therefore, the client requested $40,000 in compensation from Pinnacle Investments LLC or Schaul. BrokerCheck indicates that this complaint is pending a resolution.

Scott Schaul Disclosed Omissions Allegations By CCO Investment Services Corp. Client

Notably, a client of CCO Investment Services Corp. contested Scott Schaul’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated January 24, 2006. Allegedly, the client requested an account designed to place principal at the least risk, was instead placed into an investment strategy that allegedly continued to lose value, and was not informed of surrender charges associated with the investment. It appears that Schaul allegedly caused the client to experience damages connected to variable annuities. As a result, the client sought compensation from CCO Investment Services Corp. or Schaul in the amount of $80,000 in this matter. However, the firm denied this complaint.

Citizens Investment Services Investor Alleged Signature Discrepancies

Additionally, a client filed a complaint about Scott Schaul. Mainly, the client alleged that account documentation contained non-genuine signatures. For this reason, the client allegedly experienced damages associated with variable annuities and mutual funds. Consequently, on June 29, 2004, Citizens Investment Services Corp. settled this matter by paying the client $9,714.
