McDevitt worked for (1) Campfire Capital from 2019-2021; (2) WoodRock Securities LP from 2015-2016; and (3) FTN Financial Securities Corp from 2005-2006.

Campfire Capital Client Accuses Sean McDevitt Of Soliciting Investments In Third Party Company
Evidently, on January 13, 2022, a Campfire Capital client filed an investment-related complaint about Sean McDevitt. Specifically, the client alleged that McDevitt solicited investments in a third-party company in which funds were misused. For this reason, the client purportedly sustained damages. Therefore, the client requested $500,000 in compensation from Campfire Capital or McDevitt. Evidently, this complaint is pending a resolution.
FINRA Sanctions McDevitt For Alleged Private Securities Transactions
Specifically, FINRA says that from August 20, 2015, through June 9, 2016, while he was associated with WoodRock Securities LP, McDevitt was involved in four private securities transactions. Specifically, McDevitt solicited investors to buy promissory notes in a software platform company that McDevitt was the CEO of. In total, four investors purchased promissory notes in the amount of $600,000. These investors were not clients of WoodRock Securities LP. Also, the firm's policy prohibited its representatives from participating in private securities transactions without prior written authorization from the firm. McDevitt violated FINRA Rules 2010, 3280, and NASD Rule 3040.
