Thomas Ward Stratton (CRD #1646899, Melbourne, Florida)

Stratton was previously registered with WORLD CHOICE SECURITIES, INC. of Melbourne, Florida from 01/05/2004 – 08/12/2021.  Thomas Ward Stratton had been listed as both a broker and a financial advisor.

On August 12, 2021, an Acceptance, Waiver and Consent (AWC) was issued in which Thomas Ward Stratton was barred from association with any FINRA member in all capacities.

Without admitting or denying FINRA’s findings, Thomas Ward Stratton consented to the sanction and to the entry of findings that he allegedly refused to provide information and documents requested by FINRA in connection with its investigation of his potential misuse of client funds with respect to the sale of promissory notes related to a third party’s life insurance policy and misrepresentations.

FINRA’s findings alleged that Stratton provided a partial but incomplete response to FINRA’s requests and later acknowledged that he received the requests and will not produce the outstanding information or documents requested.

According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, Thomas Ward Stratton, was in the securities industry for 19 years, was listed with 2 firms, and has 5 disclosures on his FINRA CRD report.  Two of the disclosures are “Regulatory,” and one is an, “Investigation.”

There was also a “Customer Dispute” dated July 11, 2016.  The allegations were, “Client claims unsuitable management of accounts/over-concentration/Margin/Breach of Fiduciary Duty. Account was established in July 2013 and transferred out October 2015.”  The settlement amount was $50,000.00.

On August 13, 2021, there was an “Employment Separation After Allegations” listed on the FINRA report stating that Stratton voluntarily resigned due to the following allegations, “FINRA Wells Notice for failure to respond to requests for information timely and fully. AWC resulted in bar.”
