Vincent Sharpe In Aegis Client Disputes Concerning Unsuitable Advice

Investors might have sustained losses due to securities broker Vincent Anthony Sharpe (also known as Vincent Ottomanelli-Sharpe) [CRD: 5435813, Syosset, New York], according to disclosures on FINRA BrokerCheck. Evidently, Vincent Sharpe worked for Aegis Capital Corp. from August 5, 2016, to October 18, 2019, in Red Bank, New Jersey. Following his employment at Aegis Capital Corp., Sharpe worked for PHX Financial Inc., and Paulson Investment Company LLC before his current registration with COVA Capital Partners LLC since January 25, 2024. Aegis Capital Corp Investor Accused Sharpe Of Unsuitable Investment Recommendations

Also, on April 26, 2021, an Aegis Capital Corp client filed FINRA Arbitration: 21-01073 about Vincent Sharpe. Supposedly, Sharpe made unsuitable investment recommendations. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. As a result, the client requested $283,716.78 in compensation from Aegis Capital Corp or Sharpe. Evidently, this arbitration is pending a resolution.

Particularly, a client filed FINRA Arbitration: 20-00477 about Vincent Sharpe. Notably, the client alleged unsuitable recommendations, unauthorized trading, churning, misrepresentation, negligence, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, omission of material facts. Because of this, the investor apparently incurred damages. For this reason, on March 23, 2020, Aegis Capital Corp. settled this matter by paying the client $40,000 in damages.

A client filed FINRA Arbitration: 19-03199 about Sharpe, alleging unsuitable recommendations, gross negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and unauthorized trading during the time frame of 2016 to 2018, while Sharpe was employed with Aegis Capital Corp. Due to these allegations, the client allegedly sustained damages amounting to $180,000. Consequently, on July 27, 2020, Aegis Capital Corp. settled this matter by paying the client $40,000 in damages.
