Andrew Sinsigalli Involved In Merrill Lynch Investor’s Unsuitable Recommendations Claim

One or more investors possibly experienced losses because of securities broker Andrew Thomas Sinsigalli (also known as Andy Sinsigalli) [CRD: 2178808, San Jose, California], according to disclosures on FINRA BrokerCheck. Evidently, Sinsigalli has worked for Merrill Lynch since December 17, 2010, as a broker and since February 15, 2011, as an investment adviser. Merrill Lynch Investor Accused Andy Sinsigalli Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Particularly, a client filed a complaint about Andrew Sinsigalli. Primarily, the client alleged that Sinsigalli made unsuitable recommendations. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages relating to managed accounts. Therefore, on April 16, 2024, Merrill Lynch settled this matter by paying the client $25,568.69 in damages.

Andrew Sinsigalli Disclosed Misrepresentation Allegations By Wells Fargo Client

Also, a client of Wells Fargo Advisors LLC, and Wamu Investments Inc. contested Andrew Sinsigalli’s sales practices by bringing FINRA Arbitration No. 09-05192. Allegedly, Sinsigalli made omissions, misrepresentations, and acted negligently. The claim also alleged that the broker breached his fiduciary duty, and gave unsuitable advice. It appears that Sinsigalli caused the client to sustain damages on mutual funds. As a result, Wells Fargo Advisors LLC agreed to settle the matter on January 14, 2011, by compensating the client in the amount of $27,500.00.

Wells Fargo Terminated Andy Sinsigalli For Policy Violations

Notably, on December 7, 2010, Wells Fargo Advisors LLC disaffiliated with Sinsigalli. Evidently, Wells Fargo alleged that Sinsigalli violated firm procedures and policies relating to client information.
