A.G.P. / Alliance Global Partners Investor Accused Garrido Of Failure To Perform Due Diligence

Particularly, an A.G.P. / Alliance Global Partners client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 24-02719 about Charles Garrido. Mainly, the client alleged that Garrido failed to perform due diligence when recommending the purchase of debt securities known as GWG L-Bonds. For this reason, the investor allegedly sustained damages of $150,000. Consequently, on June 10, 2025, A.G.P. / Alliance Global Partners settled this matter by paying the client $70,000 in damages.

McDonald Investments Inc. Investor Accused Charles Garrido Of Unsuitable Recommendations And Failure To Follow Instructions

Specifically, a McDonald Investments Inc. client filed NASD Arbitration No. 02-05159 about Charles Garrido. Primarily, the client alleged that Garrido made unsuitable recommendations and failed to follow instructions. Because of this, the client allegedly incurred damages associated with stocks. Therefore, on September 9, 2002, McDonald Investments Inc. settled this matter by paying the client $32,500 in damages.

Notably, a client of McDonald Investments Inc. disputed Charles Garrido’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 04-00385. Allegedly, Garrido breached his fiduciary duty, omitted material facts, made misrepresentations, and made unsuitable recommendations. It appears that Garrido caused the client to sustain damages connected to stocks. As a result, FINRA Arbitrators issued an Award dated December 28, 2004, compelling McDonald Investments Inc. and Garrido to compensate the client in the amount of $678,633.
