Curtis Edmark (CRD 1596961) is a registered representative with Centaurus Financial. According to BrokerCheck, a customer filed a claim against him on September 14, 2026 that remains pending.
The claim, docketed as FINRA case 26-02009, alleges $100,000 in damages. No arbitrator has ruled on it.

The customer alleges that Curtis Edmark's original product recommendation was unsuitable and that he continued to advise the customer to remain invested, according to BrokerCheck.
In a statement on BrokerCheck, Edmark said he vehemently denies any wrongdoing and asserts that the allegations are completely without merit. He said the investments the customer complained about were suitable, were recommended based on the customer's objectives, goals and financial circumstances, and were offered only after his review of all material documentation related to the investment. He added that the customer confirmed in writing that he received the required investment documentation and disclosures and understood the characteristics and risks of the investments.
BrokerCheck also shows an earlier customer dispute against Curtis Edmark at Centaurus Financial, filed May 29, 2024 and settled on April 16, 2025. The customer alleged that, in March 2019 and May 2020, Edmark recommended unsuitable, high risk, speculative and illiquid investments and breached his fiduciary duty, according to the disclosure. The customer alleged $150,000 in damages, and the matter settled for $60,000.
In a statement on BrokerCheck, Edmark said he vehemently denied any wrongdoing and asserted that the customer's allegations were completely without merit. He said that in an effort to avoid protracted proceedings and reach an expedited resolution, his broker-dealer unilaterally settled the claim without his agreement, and that he made no monetary contribution to the settlement.
FINRA Rule 2111 requires a broker to have a reasonable basis for believing that a recommended transaction or investment strategy is suitable for a customer, based on the customer's investment profile. A settlement is not an admission that a recommendation was unsuitable, and a pending claim is an unproven allegation.
An arbitration panel applies the suitability standard only if a claim proceeds to a hearing; most customer disputes, including Curtis Edmark's 2024 claim, resolve by settlement without a ruling on the merits.

This post summarizes public FINRA records, including BrokerCheck, as of October 14, 2026. Allegations in customer complaints and arbitrations are claims, not findings. Pending claims remain open and undecided. A settlement is also not an admission of wrongdoing. FINRA may also update or correct these records after that date.
