Specifically, on April 10, 2026, a Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC client filed a complaint about Diego Bacellar. Mainly, the client alleged that Bacellar represented that funds provided for an investment not associated with the firm would generate monthly payments and a return of principal and interest. The client also alleged that Bacellar made misrepresentations regarding two life insurance policies. For this reason, the client allegedly sustained damages involving life insurance products. Consequently, the client requested $80,000 in compensation from Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC or Bacellar.

Additionally, on April 3, 2026, Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC disaffiliated with Bacellar. Mainly, Northwestern Mutual Investment Services LLC alleged that Bacellar provided false bank account information that was used to pay premiums on two clients' life insurance policies and two life insurance policies that he owned.
