Earl Newsome Disclosed Misrepresentation Allegations By 1717 Capital Management Client

Specifically, a client of 1717 Capital Management disputed Earl Newsome’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated December 28, 2006. Allegedly, Newsome made misrepresentations regarding the lapsing of an insurance policy. It appears that Newsome allegedly caused the client to sustain damages. As a result, the client sought compensation from 1717 Capital Management or Newsome in this matter. However, the client withdrew this complaint.

Royal Alliance Investor Accused Newsome Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Notably, a Royal Alliance Associates Inc. client filed NASD Arbitration No. 04-03855 about Earl Newsome. Primarily, the client alleged that Newsome made unsuitable recommendations regarding variable life insurance. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages linked to those life insurance products. Therefore, on April 5, 2005, Royal Alliance Associates Inc. settled this matter by paying the client $92,500 in damages.
