Also, a client of Independent Financial Group LLC contested Conrad’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 23-02737 on October 5, 2023. Allegedly, Conrad caused an overconcentration in investments that were not suitable. It appears that Conrad caused the client to sustain damages on non-traded REITs. Therefore, the client seeks compensation from Independent Financial Group LLC or Conrad in the amount of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 in this ongoing matter.

Cetera Advisors Networks LLC Investor Accused Conrad Of Unsuitable Alternative Investments

Additionally, on August 16, 2023, a Cetera Advisors Networks LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 23-00927 about Gilbert Conrad. Supposedly, Conrad made unsuitable recommendations. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on direct investments, specifically DPP and LP Interests. Therefore, the client requested compensation ranging from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 from Cetera Advisors Networks LLC or Conrad. Evidently, this arbitration is pending a resolution.

Gilbert Conrad Disclosed Unsuitable Recommendations Allegations By JP Turner Company LLC Client

Specifically, a client of JP Turner Company LLC contested Conrad's sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 20-01585. Allegedly, Conrad made unsuitable recommendations involving alternative investments. It appears that Conrad caused the client to sustain damages on these products. Therefore, JP Turner Company LLC opted to settle the matter on January 11, 2022, by compensating the client in the amount of $10,000.

JP Turner Company LLC Investor Accused Conrad Of Misrepresentation

Also, a JP Turner Company LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 13-01426 about Gilbert Conrad. Notably, the client alleged that Conrad engaged in unsuitable trading, misrepresentation, negligence, violation of Nebraska securities law, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract involving real estate securities, specifically tenant in common products. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages amounting to $2,850,352.99. Therefore, on November 21, 2014, JP Turner Company LLC settled this matter by paying the client $235,000 in damages.
